Cleaning the interior walls of your house

You see the signs, the walls inside your house just don't seem to have the lustre they once did. upon closer inspection, you notice the scuff marks and finger smudges all over them. There's not much you can do to stop this travesty, especially if you have kids, but there is a way to clean those walls and bring them back to looking as good as new.

Follow these instructions to bring your walls back to that sparkly, clean look as if they had just been painted.

Firstly, run a trial on an area of the wall that will not be visible if the paint is damaged, such as a spot behind where a couch backs on to the wall.

If you have anything hanging on your walls, remove them. This includes such things as paintings, mirrors, curtains and the like.

Take a third of a cup of household cleaner, and place it in a bucket of hot water.

To avoid burning your hands, put on some heavy duty cleaning gloves, and wet a rag in the bucket. Wring out the cloth as much as you can.

Begin wiping the wall from one corner out. Use a circular motion, and make sure you keep wetting and wringing out the rag so it's kept clean.

To avoid streaking and staining on your walls, after you've been wiping for a few minutes, go back and dry the areas that you've just cleaned with a dry rag.

Keep up this process until you have cleaned the complete surface on all the walls.

Stand back and admire your handiwork.
